Australian Student Leadership Association

Nominations are now open for the Australian Student Leader of the Year Award 2009. ASLA is looking for current tertiary students who display exceptional qualities as a leader, on or off campus. The winning nomination will be selected based on demonstration of the following themes:

*Connect

*Persevere

*Inspire

*Achieve

To nominate yourself or another student please submit an explanation in 500 words or less outlining:

1. Name, age, email and phone contacts

2. Degree, University, year of study

3. The nominee’s leadership experience and how it demonstrates our 4 leadership themes.

Prize presentations will take place on the 27^th of September at the Gala Dinner, the final event of the Students 4 Students National Leadership Conference held at the University of Wollongong over the 26-27^th of September 2009. The winner will receive free entry to the entire conference and Gala Dinner. Nominees will be contacted 1 week prior to the event on the 19/9/09 with further information.

Note: any guests of the winner will be required to pay for their ticket. If a winner has already paid for a conference or dinner ticket they may be reimbursed the price they paid for the ticket.
