The 2009 S4S Leadership conference is in its 3^rd year and in 2009 we will be presenting the theme “What do you know for sure?”

Our world today is framed by paradox and our perceptions are being continually challenged, which is difficult in a world that’s narrated by the media. Our global world and our multiple information channels deliver different views on the same situation, making it difficult to determine what we know for sure.

This year’s conference aims to create a thought provoking space where delegates can be challenged to understand the issues facing them as they become leaders in this world. We want to encourage discussion and internal dialogue about their own values, knowledge and perceptions. It will be a chance for them to connect with like minded peers and gain support in their leadership journey.

If you are a presenter who can inspire others and have an interesting story to tell then we would love to hear from you.

Call for sessions are now open and final submissions closes on 6^th August 2009.

 Some of the topics to be covered during the conference include:

· CONNECT: networking skills, relationship building, mentoring, engaging and connecting with the world we live in, volunteerism

· INSPIRE: Speakers who have inspiring stories. Faculty based speakers who have gone on to achieve in their career, Practical tips on how to keep motivated and thrive Personal testimonies and practical applications

· PERSEVERE: How to overcome hardships in being a leader and seeking to achieve goals, how to keep going when the going gets tough, goal planning

· ACHIEVE: How to have an impact at a local/global level, what we can do today to achieve and assist for the greater good

We are open to presentation ideas and are supportive of new speakers who wish to present their topic. We want to assist in the journey of these young leaders with your stories.
